Creating Your First Alert

Now that you've created your Notion account, successfully set up your Notion bridge and added a sensor to your system, you're ready to set up alerts and have them delivered where and when you want.

A list of Notion monitoring tasks is displayed, along with current status, on the Notion dashboard. In our example, tapping on the words "Laundry Room Door" will take us to a page displaying the settings for Laundry Room Door alerts.

The alerts set up screen lets you select whether you want to receive alerts when you are home or away or when it's night time.

You can scroll down to the bottom of the page and specify a time range to define "night" in case you want to mute your alerts for this period. There is a switch next to "Send alerts at night" that tells Notion to ignore your time range for night and always send alerts for this monitoring task 100% of the time.

Tapping on the little green triangle displays the editor for defining the start and end times for "night." Tap on the "Save" button to save any changes.

When you're done changing your alert settings for this task, tap on the word "HOME" in the top left of the screen to return to the Notion dashboard. You should see an alert the next time that a task is triggered.
