Is Notion telling you your door is open when it's not? Are you not receiving door alerts?
Occasionally sensors can get out of sync with Notion's backend. When this happens use the Resync Door Task feature to get it back on track. This works on hinged doors, hinged windows, and garage doors.
How to use the Resync Door Task feature:
- From the home page in the app, tap on the door task that needs to be synced.
- Tap on the Settings tab at the top of the Task Details screen
- Scroll down and tap the Resync Door Task button
- Follow the in-app instructions to resync the task - this can take up to a few minutes, so we'll send you a push notification when it is complete.
After resyncing, the sensor will go back to reporting properly.
How does this happen?
Notion sensors can get into this state for a few reasons. The sensor has a small compass inside that detects what direction the sensor is pointing. When a battery is replaced, it can become magnetized and then the sensor state is stuck open.
Other reasons include existing security systems that use magnets. If you have one of these in your home you will need to move your Notion sensor at least 3 feet from the security system before re-syncing.
These are the two most common causes of a sensor getting stuck open, however you might notice that your sensor can get stuck without either of these things. If this is the case, simply use the 'Re-Sync Door Task' feature to get your sensor back on track!

I use three sensors and only one give me sound alert but not the other two. They used to work properly until last week when the bridge went off. Reinstalled all and able to sync manually but only one gave alert. Appreciate your advice.
