No. The Notion Sensors can only hear the specific sound emitted from your UL-listed smoke or carbon monoxide alarm. The sensors are not able to pick up ambient noise such as conversations and do not have voice processing components in the hardware. To get specific, we use MEM microphones to process the sound the sensor hears.
The sensor transfers sound data to our servers as individual puzzle pieces that are mixed up before they are sent. We look for individual sounds that match your UL-listed smoke or carbon monoxide alarm in the samples but we aren't able to piece the samples back into order.
