Notion has made performance updates to Door and Window tasks
For this update to take effect, you will need to resync your vertically-hinged door and/or window task(s). Just follow the steps outlined below to update to the latest data model.
- You may receive a notification from the Notion app, stating that performance updates have been made to one of the tasks on your sensors. This update will ask you to resync your task now to resume receiving your Open/Closed notifications.
- Tap on this notification to open the Notion app on your phone.
- The app will display prompt to resync your task. Tap on Resync Now.
- Follow the in-app instructions to resync your task. This can take up to a few minutes, so we'll send you a push notification when it is complete.
What if I didn't receive the initial notification, how will I know if I need to resync my task?
The Notion app will display a red exclamation point next to a door or window task on your home screen, like the screenshot below.
- Tap on the task to view the Task Details screen
- Scroll to the bottom, and tap on Resync Task
- Follow the in-app instructions to resync your task. This can take up to a few minutes, so we'll send you a push notification when it is complete.
Important Note: Open/Closed activity and notifications will not work until the task has been resynced.
