Why Should I Add An Additional Contact To My Notion Pro Subscription?
Notion PRO is designed to make sure that you never miss another alert from your Notion system. Push notifications from the app are great, and Notion PRO alerts are even better. But let's admit it, there are times where we aren't near our phone, or something else is going on where we still may miss even a text message or phone call from Notion PRO.
For those moments, consider adding an additional contact. This should be someone who knows what's going on at home. Maybe they're a family member or roommate, or perhaps a close neighbor. Next time your Notion PRO system escalates an alert to you, your additional contact should be able to work with you to determine whether or not authorities should be dispatched.
What Can An Additional Contact Do?
This part depends on whether or not an additional contact is already a manager on your Notion system. For more information on managers, click here. Additional contacts do not need to be a manager on your system, but they certainly can be.
Additional contacts who are already a manager will receive normal alerts from the Notion system. Then if Notion PRO escalates an alert, the additional contact will receive the text message and subsequent phone call. Additional contacts who are not managers on the system will not have access to any other data available in the Notion app, including push notifications. Additional contacts will have the option to de-escalate the Notion PRO alert via text message or phone call.
How Can I Add An Additional Contact?
You will be prompted to add an additional contact during the initial set-up flow of your Notion PRO system. Make sure that the phone number you enter for your additional contact is a cell-phone number that can receive text messages.
